We absolutely love these vegan candy bars as well as the vegan caramel sauce. They are the perfect sweet treat at the end of the day. I also often use the caramel to make caramel lattes!
I placed an order of I think 8 packs of 4 bars (there was a BOGO, don't judge...) and so I got 10 ice packs. It was a hot stretch of days and everything still arrived fine. Not cold, but not goop! I popped some in the fridge and kept others in the cool of the basement. Some of the bars showed signs of having melted a bit in shipping but nothing catastrophic. I'll definitely use the "# of boxes + 2" method for deciding how many ice packs to get in the future!
The vegan brownies was really good
As the title says, the ice packs are not very effective. It wasn't even hot (low 60s F) the week I received my order and the ice pack felt like it had lost its chill at least 8 hours beforehand.
In future, I recommend more robust ice packs or maybe even dry ice, especially as the weather starts heating up in the desert and southeastern US areas, rolling into Spring.
It is hot out, put bars in refrigerator and wait. We are in Florida you cannot beat our heat! 5 stars!!! We love these candy bars, nothing compares.
